Turkey Day 2012 Ride

Off this morning with Jordan and Chris Booher to enjoy a 30 year tradition here in Phoenix, that being a 40 mile ride, starting at Central/Camelback, going to South Mountain Park, up the Summit Road to Dobbins Peak, and back down again to start line. Should be a great morning getting ourselves hungry for Thanksgiving Dinner!

El Pour de Tucson!

Well, I have to report that we chose not to ride due to the tremendous amount of rain that we received on Thursday. Has we rode we would have been exposed to the wet roads, puddles, cold,etc. I was  able to be at the finish line when my friends came in, the cycling team from the Critical Path Institute,   .as we were able to get a group picture at the finish line. I appreciate Diane Stephenson for her never ending kindness to me.

Day 1 of PCH 2014 with POPS Ride!

What an exciting day it was as we said goodbye to our new friends in Vancouver, and after a great breakfast we rode our bikes from their house a short distance to Flight Path Park near the Vancouver Airport where we met up with Tom and Phillip Casey. Tom is who I met this last summer when he was riding with the Friends of Phinney going cross country on their ride. Phillip is his nephew and the son of Michael Casey who was the SAG driver that was with them when I was riding with them on my 100 mile day and over Wolf Creek Pass. So happy to have Tom and Phillip with us. Tom is one of those guys who you feel safe with at all times and he has a heart of gold. Phillip has the same genuine kind heart and neat personality. We had a great ride! We left Vancouver and it seemed forever to get to the border. We had to take many different turns and different roads. My Faith/My Family!

The greatest thing that gives me hope and brings much satisfaction to my life is my faith in my Father in Heaven and in His Son, Jesus Christ. The knowledge I have of the plan of salvation that they have created, and that I have been taught and follow by being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is exactly what I need to help me make it through any challenging time or circumstance.  I am grateful for my membership in the church and that me and my family are together in this plan. I am grateful for my wife, Leisa, who is of great support to me, and who I don't always give enough of myself to her.  I love her and cherish our relationship. I love the family that we have created. They are awesome and want to thank them all for the joy and happiness that they bring into my life!
