Started off the morning with a good walk around the neighborhood with Allie. Went to Lowes and got grass seed and manure to overseed lawn and got that done. Also got wood slats to do the pickets on the garden fence. Taking Leisa out on a date tonight!

Exercise Log

Monday Wednesday Friday: Swim at gym and use various machines Tuesday Thursday: Walk dog in my neighborhood. Friend David and his dog walks with me. Great for conversation as well Saturday: hike the local mountain trail as often as possible with anyone who wants to go. Sunday: Take a break, go to church, exercise spiritually!

Attitude

Attitude Author unknown There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today!" So she did and she had a wonderful day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today!" So she did and she had a grand day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail!" So she did and she had a fun, fun day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YAY! she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!" Attitude is everything.

Exercise

I am finding that I really enjoy exercising. I have never had a routine schedule of exercise, mainly due to the fact that I was always trying to balance my time with work, family, church, and everything else in between. I certainly am no couch potato and not out of shape, but recently my employer gave us the opportunity to get a gym membership at LA Fitness for a very good price, so I decided to take advantage of it, signed up early last month, and have found myself going regularly and I feel great about. I try to go 2-3 times a week. They open up at 05:00 in the morning so I try to get there between 5-5:30, start off with swimming and the go work out on some of the machines, trying to alternate my upper body some days, and my legs and lower body the others. Then on the mornings I don't go to the gym I am walking my neighborhood with our dog, Allie, who needs the exercise too.
